Paxton needed an MRI to rule out some things before before they decided to go Achaean and do the Tracheostomy. If you’ve ever had an MRI, you know, you need to be perfectly still while the machine is running - like an x-ray, but much longer. Who thought it would be a good idea to give an infant an MRI?! HAHA!

CASEY: Your first outdoor excursion!! We transferred you to a portable isolette. They hooked you up on their monitors, and away we go!
When we got outside you got your first glimpse of sunshine. This is the first time you’ve been away from the hospital since Dec. 10, 1998. You tolerated the ambulence ride well. In fact, you closed your eyes and fell asleep. When we got you to the MRI hospital, the only way you would stay still is if your pacifier was in your mouth because you fought off all the drugs they gave you. They had to tape your pacifier to your chin so it would not fall out. When you were done we brought you back. You seem OK in your mommy’s arms. You are a tough little guy!!!
They had given Paxton a light sedative to keep him calm during the ambulance ride and to make him sleepy for the MRI, so he’d be still. …BUT, Folks, our Paxton is a WILSON, and Wilsons don’t give up the fight!!
How do they keep a baby still during an MRI?
