Casey: One hundred eighty-nine days later you are still in the hospital. You are 7 lbs, 8 oz. You're quite the little big boy. You smile and play all day long. We just had a care conference concerning your status. Tuesday they're going to try you on a home ventilator. If you do well, that could be your ticket out of this joint.
Mom has to go shopping and get a double stroller so she can carry your equipment around with you when you go for walks. You have so many people that love you and care for you dearly. You're doing so well, they're saying it won't be long. We've heard that before, our fingers are crossed.
With love,
Dad
Through the ups and downs of life, through the roller coaster of a trial, we can always count on the steadfastness of God. We can lean on Him during these times. How? In His word. There we can find His promises which are true and eternal. They never change, just like Him. Through His Son, Jesus, who died on the cross to pay the once-and-for-all penalty for OUR sins, we can have direct access to the Creator of the universe, Who set everything in motion, including time. God loves His children and promises His peace and comfort that defies human understanding during life's trials.
Do you believe? Do you know Him? Do you want to?
